Miss Moxxi's Bandit Touch by Hypercats Miss Moxxi's Bandit Touch by Hypercats
I was in the middle of making a Bandit SMG and while searching for "Miss Moxxi's" weapon texture graphics, I ran across someone who was able to make a clearer rendering of Moxxi for me. I couldn't wait to start over on a new Firefly and wanted to try my hand at a "Bad Touch" type weapon asap. I love it. I did some Photoshop/Illustrator work and made some really nice graphics (the bluegreen/cyan stripes look a lot better irl than in the pics I took. Yellowish lighting kind of killed them) This is what Moxxi's Bad Touch would look like if it wasn't a Maliwan SMG, but instead a Bandit SMG. I might try to do Good Touch and a Bad Touch with more red and less "bandity" parts next time.

Also, it's for sale on Etsy: [link]?

This is awesome. Cant wait to see the Bandit SMG. By the way, I also started making Borderlands weapons out of Nerf. I have 2 currently. Give them a peak.

They both look really good! The Firefly is such a great shape for the SMG.

Thanks! I love Fireflys. I'm doing a Maliwan paintjob on one as a commission currently, and I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out!

I need to get some work done. I haven't been able to work on commissions recently because it's been too cold for me to spray base coats, and clear coats and such.

I have 4 Fireflys that I want to eventually get to though, and this gave me an idea on how to do one.

Thanks! I have two more Fireflys. One is going to be a full Maliwan paintjob, and the other is going to be the Bandit one I was originally planning on doing. I'd love to get a couple more to make more Bad Touches though.

Thanks! I love Good Touch/Bad Touch. I used to use only Valdof and Maliwan weapons, but I have a lvl 50 Infinity, a lvl 50 Nukem, and a lvl 50 Conference Call and I pretty much stick to those and whatever sniper rifle I feel like using.

Ahhh good choices! I'm a fan of the Conference Call, White Death, and the Slagga!

No, it's just a lesser known Nerf gun called the Firefly that I put some paint on. It's already got all the details built in, you just have to bring them out with some paint highlights.

Hahah yeah, I wish I had time to glue tons of parts to Nerf guns. This one has all the stuff built in already, and it's pretty uncommon. There's a ton of ways you can decorate it though.

I amgine you could go to some garage sale or some shop closing down and they were practically selling them guns for like 1 dollar a piece? It would be a dream to you!

Yeah we have thrift stores here that occasionally get them in. I might just buy them on Ebay to repaint and sell though, since the demand is super low and they seem to be found frequently on Ebay cheap.

Looks excellent! I love how you chunked out the red so it doesn't look like the whole thing is one piece of plastic.

Thanks! I was actually going to go with a different paint scheme for this gun that didn't have the Moxxi decals. Originally, I was going to do the Bandit style gun with the two magazines on the sides and the fighter jet jaws, but I ended up getting the Moxxi rendering sooner than expected. The next Moxxi style Firefly I do is going to have more red and less mechanical bits to look more like Miss Moxxi's Bad Touch.

In that case, I'm glad that this project happened the way that it did, because I'm a fan of the exposed mechanicals. But, that's just me.

Thanks! It's just paint though, I didn't do any physical mods to it. The gun itself looks good if you know what to highlight.

"just paint" can make a large difference ;)

I agree! Also, knowing what paints for which parts of the gun is a very important factor as well. A steampunk version of this Firefly could have 5 or 6 different colors of paint on it and look much more like a clockwork or more mechanical collection of parts, hoses, and gears.

Yep. I occasionally find them at thrift stores. It has a lot of little details that look great with some paint. Especially if you're going to do a Steampunk theme with copper, brass, steel, woodgrain, and rust.
